Core security principles
Focus: system updates, screen locks, and app sources
Device security defines the environment in which wallet actions occur. System updates, screen locks, browser extensions, clipboard behavior, public Wi-Fi, shared computers, and remote-control software can all change risk, so reduce unnecessary exposure before important actions.
Start by separating secret material from public, verifiable information. Seed phrases, private keys, and verification codes should not be sent to other people; addresses, networks, transaction hashes, and public contract details can be used for self-service verification.
When a third-party service is involved, place system updates, screen locks, and app sources in one risk model: decide whether the information should appear at all, whether the source is trustworthy, and whether the action can change assets or permissions.
